A water main burst next to Aurora last night and we have flooded.
If you have an appointment today please do not come into the practice, we will call you as soon as we are able.
If you are unwell or have an emergency please head to either urgent doctors or the emergency department.
We are working hard to get things back on track as fast as we can so we can continue looking after you.

GP Update – Aurora Health Centre

We would like to let our patients know that Dr Martin Handley has recently left Aurora Health Centre. We thank Dr Handley for the care and dedication he has shown to our patients during his time with us and wish him all the very best for the future. 💐

Like many medical practices across New Zealand, we are currently experiencing GP workforce shortages, which means there may be longer wait times for routine appointments. We really appreciate your patience and understanding while we work through this challenging period.

If you have an urgent medical issue, please phone the practice. Our nurses will discuss your concerns and help decide the most appropriate next steps for your care.

More changes for Aurora Health Centre that will be a little bit disruptive for us all on Monday 29th May and perhaps a little bit longer.
We are upgrading our computer system and we will have limited services until 2pm on Monday 29th May.
We would ask that you be patient when phoning or are in the practice as we all come to terms with a slightly different way to do things.
Please note that Manage My Health will be shut down at lunchtime on Friday 26th May, so patients will be unable to log in to MMH to request a script or check new results until Tuesday 30th May.
We will be here in person and on the phones on Monday 29th and will be available for anything urgent.

Our new patient portal, Manage My Health, is going live late on Monday 24 April. If we have your correct email address you should receive an invitation to join MMH on Monday but you may need to check your junk box to find this.
This will have instructions on how to join and activate MMH.

From midday on Monday 24 April you will no longer be able to order a script through ConnectMed

Repeat Script Requests
Our policy has changed on repeat prescription requests. We now require three working days when you request a repeat prescription, which is $18.
If you need an urgent script, please allow 24 hours and this will cost $25.
Any requests for early release of certain medications will incur a script fee of $18.
With repeat prescriptions you will still need be seen at least once every 6 months.

Changing Patient Portals
The patient portal ConnectMed, which is used to request scripts and check results, has been sold to Manage My Health (MMH) - another patient portal.
We are migrating to MMH at the end of April 2023. You will be sent an invitation by email, to join MMH before then.
Please follow the instructions to register. Your information from ConnectMed will be transferred to MMH.

Please ensure that we have your correct email address.
