Clinical Massage Therapy in Dunedin

Within the clinic we have over 32 years experience in clinical massage therapy. Over the years we have assisted many clients ranging from Elite athletes to weekend pavement pounders, office administrators, pregnant mums, the sedentary to the very active. Each of these clients have similar goals, and that is to get their body moving as freely as it can and do so being pain free. Yvette Latta
I established Hands on Health -Latta Massage Therapy in 2005 after graduating with a diploma in Massage Therapy with distinction from the Canterbury college of Natural Medicine. I have been very fortunate to have travelled with the job I love to do which has taken me to the London and Beijing Olympics, track and field World champs in South Korea and Berlin with Athletics New Zealand, and numerous World Champs and World Cups with Rowing New Zealand. Day to day I still get a real buzz working with my regular clients, and seeing our new clients walk out of a treatment more upright and reduced pain. Each year I enjoy attending courses to further my knowledge, and will continue to do so to get the best for our clients. Emma Head
I graduated from the University of Teesside (UK) in 2005 with a BSc(Hons) in Sports Therapy. Since graduating my main focuse has been on clinical massage therapy, helping the individual to recover, repair and learn new strategies to help their body be the best it can be. I am always looking to improve on my skill set. I have additional qualifications and experience in Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Pregnancy Massage and Relaxtion/Stress Management. Online booking is available at lattamassage.co.nz

Something Is Better Than Nothing 🏃‍♂️💪
When it comes to exercise, perfection isn't the goal — consistency is. Maybe you don’t have an hour for the gym, or even know where to start with exercise. A 10-minute walk, a few stretches, or a quick bodyweight circuit still counts.
That short burst of movement
boosts your mood, supports your health, and builds momentum.
Remember:
Some movement always beats no movement.
Keep it simple. Keep it going.

Sitting Too Much? Your Body Feels It!
As a massage therapist, we see this regularly back pain, tight hips, stiff necks
Often caused by sitting for too long.
Here’s how to help your body out:
✅ Stand up every 30–45 mins
✅ Stretch or walk for 1–2 mins
✅ Use a standing desk or mix up positions
✅ Move during calls
✅ Hydrate often (bonus: you’ll need to get up more!)
Your body was made to move—don’t let sitting be the reason you’re in pain.

A sign of hope for those impacted by cancer. Funds raised go to cancer research, prevention programs, support services, and the current stats show 1 in 3 New Zealanders will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. A cause well worth supporting.
