Who We Are

Roslyn Pharmacy is a busy community pharmacy, located in the heart of Roslyn, Dunedin. My wife Amy and I, Andy Hou, were fortunate enough to be able to buy it in 2005, off Blair Coghill who had been the Pharmacy owner for 41 years. And we have not looked back…. We are a pharmacy passionate about the health and wellbeing of our community and it is our pleasure to be able to offer our customers the very best in what we do. We bring together the best pharmacy and natural health products in a one-stop shop. We promote a healthy lifestyle and try to engage our staff to do the same. We want you to have the most complete and comprehensive shopping experience possible whilst being able to access credible advice. One of the Pharmacy’s greatest strengths is its fully trained staff and the easy access to fully trained health professionals. Here at Roslyn Pharmacy, we have this covered with six fantastic Pharmacists, one Natural Health Consultant/Registered Nurse, one qualified Beauty Therapist, six Pharmacy Technicians and three Retail Specialists - all of whom are fully trained to the current NZ standard. Last day of the year for the team… but also last day on deck for these two - Janelle has been our super duper tech for the last two years and Ella has been subbing in front of house on Saturdays and between studying - we will miss you guys!!

Measles is an acute, highly contagious, viral infection caused by the measles virus. Symptoms can include a fever, runny nose, cough, and a red, blotchy rash that spreads over the body. Complications from measles can include ear infections, diarrhea, pneumonia, encephalitis, and even death.

Hi! I’m Nick — One of the new faces here and the current intern pharmacist at Roslyn Pharmacy. 👋

As part of my training, I’m running a health promotion to help raise awareness about shingles and how the Shingrix vaccine can protect you from it.

I was inspired to choose this topic after hearing so many stories from friends, patients, and whānau who’ve been badly affected by shingles — often at times not realising how serious it can be before they got shingles, or that there’s a vaccine available (Shingrix) that’s over 90% effective at preventing it!
