I thought it was fatigue… until my skin started showing it too.
After losing 12kg in 56 days, I started noticing changes in my skin, particularly in the way it was adapting under my neck as my body composition shifted. With more fat loss ahead, I want to be intentional about supporting my skin’s ability to adapt and recover during the process.
So I had full iron studies done.
Low and behold I was deficient across all markers. Cue the iron infusion.
Iron plays a key role in oxygen delivery to tissues, energy production in skin cells, and supports collagen formation and repair. When it’s low, skin often becomes dull, slower to heal, and loses some of its vitality.
In the photo of me receiving the IV, I’m not wearing makeup and you can clearly see it. My skin looks dull, almost grey, and lifeless. I looked exhausted because I was.
This was my reminder that skin health isn’t just external. It reflects what’s happening internally, sometimes you're so far in it you can't see yourself objectively. That's where I come in! Let me help you get the most out of what you're doing for your skin. Your skin and bank account will thank you for it!
