Relieved Symptoms - Week 4, January 2025
Here's what we worked on:
✧. Common Cold: Many people are unaware that acupuncture can be effective for treating colds. This week, a patient came in with symptoms of nasal congestion, sore throat, low energy, and loss of appetite. After treatment, they experienced quicker recovery and noticeable relief. Acupuncture is also highly effective for symptoms like coughing, phlegm, clear nasal discharge, and chills. Additionally, we offer imported herbal medicine specifically for colds from Korea, which is safe for general use and suitable for children as well.
✧. Cramps on Calf Muscle: This patient often woke up in the middle of the night due to calf cramps. We focused on improving blood flow and balancing the energy pathway along the calf area. After the first treatment, the patient felt a slight cramp starting but it didn’t fully happen. After the second session, even that sensation became much weaker, and they haven’t had any noticeable cramps since.
✧. Lower Back Pain: Patients initially experienced discomfort after lifting, with symptoms intensifying the next morning, making it difficult to get out of bed. Sharp pain was noted during twisting or bending forward movements. After two sessions, the patient is now reporting significant relief, with reduced pain during movement and improved comfort while standing or sitting for extended periods.
✧. Irregular Period: Progress has been notable here; while cycles used to be very unpredictable, patients are now experiencing cycles roughly every three weeks. This is a significant improvement from previous months. The goal is to stretch the cycle to a minimum of 25-28 days, so the body can function with a more regular rhythm.
✧. Elbow Sprain (Golf Elbow): Treatment has focused on reducing inflammation in the elbow joint and relieving the sharp pain caused by the sprain. Patients report improved strength and flexibility in the arm, with many able to return to activities such as light lifting and gripping without significant discomfort.
