Appreciation for our Community Champions 🙌

We want to take a moment to acknowledge and thank the incredible people who stand behind what we do at EP Fitness & Wellbeing Hub, our community champions, businesses, organisations, individuals, and whānau ❤️

Your support, referrals, and belief in our kaupapa allow us to continue creating a space where people feel safe, supported, and empowered.

Through our mahi, we provide:
🥊 Box-Fit programmes (youth & adults)
🧠 Mentoring (in-school & community support)
❤️ Health & wellbeing services
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Whānau-focused support and connection

Together, we are building stronger, healthier communities, one person, one whānau at a time.

We see you, we appreciate you, and we thank you for walking alongside us.

Morena all,

Here’s a little snippet of our very famous station from the weekend 😅

We even caught a funny moment from a distance… and somehow it gave off strong Monsters Inc vibes when the green monster made it onto the screen 👀😂

All jokes aside, awesome energy, heaps of laughs, and great to see everyone getting involved! 💪🏽

Here’s a couple of our awesome local members! 🙌

They’ve been putting in the work, showing up, staying consistent, and most importantly enjoying time together in our space. That’s what it’s all about.

At EP, we’re proud to be a space for all ages, all backgrounds, and all fitness levels.

And today… they’ve earned themselves a little reward 👀

A voucher for a healthy snack to fuel the body after putting in the mahi 👀

Consistency + Connection = Results 🔥

What an awesome Family Day here in Feilding! ☀️

This year we brought along the BlazePods, and they were a hit! So good seeing tamariki, rangatahi, and whānau getting involved, having fun, and challenging themselves.

It was also great connecting with so many new families and individuals from our community. These are the moments that remind us why we do what we do.

Big thank you to the organisers for putting on such a great event, we appreciate all the effort that goes in behind the scenes 🙌

Looking forward to seeing some of you back at the hub soon 👊

It’s that time again community, Family Fun Day! Woohoo!

Last year we had an awesome time with the community. We had a couple of amazing adult volunteers helping run the fun games and activities, and we even gave away some very cool boxing gloves through our competition.

This year you’ll find us at Site #8, and we’re looking forward to meeting more whānau and individuals from our community.

Come down and:
• Give our obstacle course a go
• Have a try at Box-Fit
• Get involved in some fun activities

If this sounds like something your young child, teenagers, parents or even grandparents might enjoy, bring them along! Our oldest client is 70+, so there’s something for everyone.

Also, I’ll be on the lookout for a couple of rangatahi who may like to volunteer and help out at the event.

See you soon community! 💪

What an amazing day with our EP Cadet Boxers today! 🥊

We focused on the basic fundamentals of the jab, breaking the movement down step by step to simplify each action. Consistency and repetition are key when building strong foundations.

Once the technique work was done, we turned up the intensity with some activities designed to lift the heart rate and respiratory rate. Safe to say the energy in the room was high, I may have even lost a little weight just watching them!

A big thank you to our amazing helpers and volunteers. It truly takes a team to help raise and support our young champions.

On another note, we also had our Kuia (70+ wahine) join us today for their dose of social connection and physical exercise, natural medicine for both the body and mind. Seeing our rangatahi and kaumātua both benefiting from movement and community in the same space is something really special.

Oh how time flies. Looking back at this brings a lot of gratitude for the journey so far.

From studying Exercise and Sport Science, Medical Science, and Clinical Exercise Physiology, to working in respiratory health, mentoring rangatahi, and now building a health and wellbeing space for our community, it’s been a journey of learning, growth, and purpose.

I’m grateful for everyone who has walked alongside me over the years. I will continue filling my kete with knowledge and sharing it with others to help uplift and empower our people and community.

The journey continues.

Kia ora community,

A snapshot from today in our space.

Tina and Gordon came in for a session and touched on Taha Tinana (physical exercise), Taha Hinengaro (mental wellbeing), and Taha Whānau (the social environment). A great mix of functional movements, strength work, a little bit of spice, and finishing it off with the gloves on.

Sharleen continues to bring great energy into the space with an open spirit and a real willingness to support those in our community.

We also had our 9–14 year olds and our 14+ class today. They absolutely demolished their session. I didn’t capture their moment this time, but there will be plenty more opportunities.

Onwards and upwards – community spirit.

Kia ora community,

I couldn’t be more proud of this incredible group of young cadet boxers.

They’re not just learning how to throw punches, they’re learning discipline, self-control, and how to understand their emotions through our traffic light system.

As young people, there are many strategies that help us stay in control, but it takes practice and consistency. When we teach these skills in a fun, structured, and nurturing environment, we’re already winning. The sport then becomes the next challenge.

Let’s keep building champions, in life first, sport second.

We’ll be updating our timetable soon, with the additional classes running throughout the day. We are getting more request to run early morning classes - watch this space.

All ages are welcome in our space.

Whakamana. Tū kaha. Tō tātou iwi.

To uplift
To stand strong
For all of our people

Our mission is to encourage and empower every individual to become the best version of themselves.
