Healing Aotearoa Tour with Matthew Ridge- Day 1:

It’s been a Long day! 6am-11pm Mahi a Wairua at Castle Hill (Kuratawhiti) Mahi a Tinana at the amazing IHF Healthclub, Mahi a Hinengaro in the Rangie sorting out logistics and connecting with whānau who are making this Tour possible!

We couldn’t have got started without the support of Andrew from Eyrewell Forest Motor Company, who hooked up this Landrover Sport for the journey! Thanks for supporting the kaupapa!

Was cool to meet this Dude just before receiving my Blue Belt and before he got his purple. I 💯 agree with the Bro, Jiu Jitsu gives you something internally, you can’t find anywhere else.

He told me the most important Belt was the white one, it takes bravery and courage to step on the Mats! I’d heard it before but it hit different coming from him. Lols I didn’t even realise who he really was at the time, I just knew he was smashing competitions, let’s just say I came back to Aotearoa and binged watch most of his movies!

Great guy also, I was flying back into a Cyclone and he was really concerned for the people back home, and asked about 3 times if I was sure my Mum and family were safe. Look forward to a roll some time Tom 👊🏽🥋🫶🏽
