“I’m not 60 yet… do I really need a colonoscopy?”
It’s a common question.
Bowel cancer is increasingly being diagnosed in younger adults.
Persistent symptoms or a family history may warrant medical assessment.
🔎 You may wish to speak to your GP if you notice:
• Changes in bowel habits (diarrhoea, constipation, or irregularity)
• Blood or mucus in your stool
• Persistent abdominal discomfort
• Unexplained weight loss
• A family history of bowel cancer
🩺 Your GP can help decide whether a colonoscopy or other investigations may be appropriate for you.
