This is opportunity not mess ... this is where my sons both autistic / low vision created independence and served themselves to make something to eat

Alot of people are misguided on what you see ...

"It's a mess can't they be tidy?"

"It's not mess, it's the possibility of creating a basic meal for them so they are nourished what ever that maybe"

This is where I watch on the outside, giving praise and encouragement to achieve a milestone

Then I give them a chance to clean up as best as they can due to low vision & complex needs.

The youngest is cognitively impaired / deaf in 1 ear and needs external prompting, so giving vocal commands very slowly with me showing visual tips for him to watch and learn help complete the task

Their afterwards I clean up the rest of the mess ...

So if your visiting, it's not because I don't care ... eh?, its because I gave them the choice to learn and grow independantly theirs a difference ... :-)

The first two pics on the left was one scenario ... and the other two pics on the right were of this afternoon when my youngest wanted toasties to snack on ...

Every morning this is routine 7 days a wk

Albeit missing my vit b12 ...and my daily glass of kombucha ...

Then I have another injection once a wk second pic

I was born physically and mentally impaired!

Keeping up with my self daily evolves around personal standards that start with making my self accountable for my day to day living ...

And although I would rather be without taking any of this at all, unfortunately it means my body won't function right if I don't ...

So down this all goes with yoghurt.... no better way unfortunately ...

Learning to take care is valuable!
