SAFETY ALERT - SEE IF YOU CAN SPOT THE AERIAL HAZARD....

HALTER - This fantastic innovation for farmers comes with a new and scary risk for pilots that fly low level – not just agricultural but pest control, mustering, search and rescue to name a few. The towers placed on high ridge tops about 8-10m high which is right in the vicinity of spraying operations and in some lights are incredibly hard to see.

WHAT CAN LANDOWNERS DO TO HELP?

**We can’t emphasise enough the importance of letting agricultural aviation operators know tower locations BEFORE they begin operations on their farm.

**Farmers can paint the towers in contrasting colours, such as red and white to help them stand out better.

**Farmers can also consider contacting Flight Advisor to have the location of towers listed for pilots.
