With the winter bugs ramping up we are reopening our walk in clinic for COVID and flu vaccines until Tuesday 1st July 2025 to give our community a boost. Please come on in to reception and one of our awesome nursing team will be happy to vaccinate you! Remember with COVID, it needs to have been at least 6 months since you last had a COVID vaccination or had COVID to be eligible for a vaccine. Stay well everyone!

New Urgent Care Service for Featherston, Martinborough and Greytown as South Wairarapa Practice Partnership Continues to Expand Services for Communities

The South Wairarapa Practice Partnership continues to thrive, now introducing a dedicated urgent care service to better support the region’s healthcare needs.

Now available at Five Rivers Medical in Greytown, the service operates Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5pm, offering same-day urgent care appointments.

“Accessing urgent care in Wairarapa has long been a challenge,” says Business Manager Neill Carson.

“Thanks to the collaborative efforts of our amalgamated practices, successful recruitment, and the ability to scale our services, we’re proud to offer this new option to our community.”

“This initiative marks another milestone in the success of the practice partnership, highlighting the value of shared resources and the diverse skillsets of our kaimahi in delivering quality care”.

The service is designed for one-off, same-day appointments—ideal for visitors to the area or residents unable to see their usual provider. It is open to both enrolled and unenrolled patients, with appointment prices starting at $52 for enrolled patients and $100 for non-enrolled, with subsidies for CSC cardholders.

“I’m really excited to see this service launch for our patients,” says Clinical Director Dr. Harsha Dias.

“In the past, we’ve often absorbed urgent care into our day-to-day operations, which, while manageable, added pressure to our teams. Without local options, patients have had to travel to Masterton or present at ED. This new service brings care closer to home, easing the burden on both patients and the wider health system.”

From 3 May, you can contact the service on 06 370 4422. Please call the clinic ahead of attending.

The after hours opening times remain the same;
Saturdays and Public Holidays – 9am to 5pm
Sundays – 9am to 3pm
