There are so many benefits for both you and your baby when you exercise throughout your pregnancy.

🧠Improves mental & emotional well-being
🧘‍♀️Can help manage lower back & pelvic pain
💪 Keeps you strong for labour

The guidelines encourage all women with uncomplicated pregnancies to participate in 150 minutes of exercise per week.
So what does this look like? Let’s break it down. 150 minutes works out to be just over 20 minutes of activity per day. Some examples of this could be swimming, walking, or strength training.

Try staying active mumma, your body will thank you for it.

Whether it's breastfeeding, bottle feeding, expressing or formula feeds, feeding your baby is a full time job!🍼🤱

While spending extended periods of time nursing, it is essential you set yourself and your environment up well to look after your body. We've listed a few of our fave tips to support you while breastfeeding.

🍼Inhale & exhale - Once your baby has latched, take a mindful moment to drop your shoulders, relax your jaw and let go of any tension you maybe holding in your body.

🍼Invest in a supportive chair - We recommend a chair with good lower back support that sits as a height where both feet can rest flat on the ground. Some people find adding a foot stool quite helpful to maintain a supportive posture.

🍼Use pillows - A few pillows on your lap to support your baby can give your arms a rest from your growing baby. Pillows can also reduce the chance of hunching and developing shoulder or wrist pain.

🍼Set up your station - You maybe here for a while so make sure you have all your essentials handy. Water bottle, snacks, your fave book or device.

🍼Upper back and neck stretches - After each feed take a few minutes to stretch your body and open up through your chest. Stretching can help alleviate muscle discomfort and increase joint mobility.

🍼Change positions - You may have heard the saying your next position is the best position in regards to posture. Try standing and side lying, so you're not restricted to one position for every feed.

Do you have any other breastfeeding tips that you swear by?
