A question for you clever showies 🙂

If your horse has a slightly thick coat that makes the quarter marks a bit untidy - I like crisp clean lines 👌 - do you still do them or do you choose not to? I know they are a part of showing and pretty much expected but … are you better to go without if they are not nice clean lines?

“You will be fine it’s only 3 weeks between a good hair cut & a bad one” we’ve all heard that right? 🥴

Spikey tail plaits!! … this is a great example of a tail plait on a tail that is GROWING OUT. This tail was clipped for HOY (March) so there is enough length of tail to plait but you do get spikes that are hard to wax/spray to keep down.

So … the moral of the story is, if you are undecided about pulling/clipping your horses tail, make sure it is definitely what you want! Because realistically you are up too 12 months away from having a nice easy tail to plait again

This looks perfectly tidy from a distance 🙂

For those of you that use the good old magic brush for getting the coat out, do you ever use the back? Flip it over and try it, it does a great job of getting the dirt as well as the hair. Check out the video in the comments, this horse has pretty much lost all her coat but you can see what a good job it does removing the dirt. Yes, I know she needs a bath, but then I couldn’t show you what a good job it does 😜
