Behind the design: why Centrafix® recesses joinery into the building wall. By recessing joinery into the building wall, Centrafix® aligns the insulation elements of the wall, frame, and glazing to reduce thermal loss around the perimeter of the window system.

As part of the ThermalHeart+® window system, installation, frame, and glazing work together to improve overall performance. When ThermalHeart+® frames, The AGP System®, and Centrafix® are specified together, it can achieve almost double the thermal performance of standard non-thermally improved aluminium joinery.

Centrafix® has been BRANZ appraised for weathertightness and has CodeMark certification.

Nestled in the Tukituki River basin, this pavilion home opens to sweeping views of Te Mata Peak. Architect Tom Rowe, developed a simple, linear form guided by proportion, presence and a thoughtful approach to how materials come together. Inside, a 4.5-metre stud lifts the scale, and large openings draw light in from all sides, allowing the atmosphere to shift throughout the day. The site’s strong winds called for a high-performance window system. Architectural and Metro Series frames, paired with The AGP System®, helped provide strength against the elements, with clarity and protection built into the complete window solution.
