We’ve developed a new circular packaging system to reduce waste and change the way we move product.

This patent-pending reusable system replaces single-use timber and steel strapping with aluminium rails and cleats made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic — eliminating the use of over one million kilograms of timber each year.

We wrapped up an awesome celebration for the Earn as You Learn program - an initiative designed to help address the growing shortage of skilled talent in the manufacturing sector.

Waikato manufacturers, Advancing Manufacturing Aotearoa-AMA, Wintec, Waikato Engineering Careers Association and Workforce Development Council Hanga-Aro-Rau piloted the program that blends classroom learning with paid, on-the-job experience, leading to a recognised qualification.

The celebration was also joined by Minister for Small Business and Manufacturing, Chris Penk MP, who acknowledged the program's impact and congratulated the students as they received their certificates.

APL Manufacturing were happy to be a part of the program and hosted an intake of students.
