We offer rest home, hospital level care, day stay and respite services for older people. Steele Park Home is located within short distance of Hamilton East’s many amenities, including Steele Park, a popular go-to for leisurely walks and sports events. It’s a place where family and friends can conveniently visit. We are proudly part of Sound Care Group, with six homes offering holistic care to older people in New Zealand. We specialise in individualised care that looks after our residents’ overall needs, developed with them and for them, and delivered by our expert team of managers, nurses, health care assistants and support staff who all share a true passion for aged care. Stay connected and active

Our 39-bed facility offers rest home and hospital level care, with spacious rooms and shared spaces that provide opportunities for both privacy and enjoying company. While our full-on activity calendar ensures our residents stay physically and socially active. Be nurtured and nourished

💙 A Heart for Others 💙

For more than six months, Robin Olds from the Waikato Cathedral Church of St Peter has been giving her time and heart to Steele Park Home. Through her dedication in leading Church Services for our residents, she has brought not only faith and comfort, but also aroha and connection. 🌿

We are deeply thankful for Robin’s generosity and spirit of service. Volunteers like her remind us that true care is built not just by our staff, but by the wider community who share their gifts with us.

🔴 Red Nose Day 2025
A little red nose, a big impact!

We joined in the fun with red noses, bright smiles, and even brighter hearts; all to support the wellbeing of children across Aotearoa. By giving kindness and taking part, we reminded ourselves that laughter, joy, and compassion are powerful tools for connection...no matter your age.

🌕 International Moon Day 2025

Did you know? On July 20, 1969, the world watched in awe as humans first set foot on the moon...a moment etched in collective memory.

In our home, we marked this day with stories, reflections, and wonder. For many of our residents, it sparked vivid memories of where they were, who they were with, and the dreams they carried.

The moon reminds us of how far we’ve come as a world and as individuals. 🌙

🇫🇷 Bastille Day 2025

Its not necessary to have strong ties to the French heritage. We just embraced the spirit of Bastille Day as a chance to learn, laugh, and celebrate culture.

The essence of “Vive la vie”... long live life. This rang true as we danced, dined, and delighted in each other’s company.

As winter begins to soften, we honour the resilience of the human spirit and the beauty of shared celebration.

Chocolate is a favourite treat and also a symbol of friendship, a moment of comfort, and a sweet reminder of life’s simple joys.

In the heart of the longest night, we came together to share something brighter than the sun — our aroha. ✨❄️

Our Midwinter Party filled the space with laughter, warmth, and sparkle. It was a time to reconnect, dress up, share kai, and remind one another that aroha can outshine even the coldest winter.

Through every shared smile, every moment of music and movement, we felt the strength of being together.
