Happy New Year from my family to yours!

As we welcome 2025, I feel a renewed passion for natural health and the knowledge I’m privileged to share. The past few weeks have been a much-needed opportunity to rest, spend quality time with my family, and enjoy life at a slower pace.

Reflecting on 2024, it was a year of embracing change, with the goal of creating a more sustainable balance between my work and family life.

I’m pleased to share that bookings are now open for appointments in both Hamilton and Cambridge. You’ll find the link in my bio or on my website. I’ll also be sending out an email shortly with all the details.

January follow-up appointments are very limited, so if you’re looking for a check-in to start the year, I encourage you to book soon. For those who are already booked in, reminders will be sent out through my new booking system, which also allows you to reschedule or cancel appointments if needed.

I’m also looking forward to some exciting projects outside of 1:1 consultations that are in the pipeline for this year—watch this space!

Here’s to 2025 being a year of sustainable work practices, and genuine happiness. Thank you for being part of this journey with me.

It’s Christmas Eve and excitement levels in our house are high.

As 2024 comes to a close I just want to say thank you to everyone who has supported me this year. I love my job and the incredible people I get to meet along the way. Many of you are living with some challenging health issues but never fail to inspire me with your determination to heal and positive outlook.

2024 has been a year of changes. I’ve added a day in Cambridge to my week and am loving working out of the Pilates Room, I’m looking forward to getting to know the team there more next year and working a Pilates session into my week!

Finally, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has encouraged and supported me this year. Your positivity means the world to me, and I’m so grateful to be on this journey with you.

Wishing you all a joyful and restful holiday season—I can’t wait to see you in the new year, I’ll be back in clinic on the 20th of January, and back online checking emails on the 13th.

I’ve had a few people ask if I’ll still be working out of the Hamilton clinic, and the answer is yes, absolutely! I’ll be in Hamilton on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9 am to 4 pm.

In Cambridge, I’m available Friday mornings from 9 am to 1 pm.

In Cambridge I’m working out of the Pilates Room Cambridge.
In Hamilton I continue to work out of the clinic shared with Dr Steve Joe.

While new patient spots in Hamilton are fully booked for the rest of the year, I do have some availability in Cambridge in November. You can easily book your appointment in Cambridge online—I’m loving how smooth and simple the online booking system is, and I truly appreciate everyone who’s embraced it!

I’d love your help in spreading the word about my Cambridge availability, so if you know anyone who might be interested, please feel free to share this with them. I’d be so grateful!

Exciting News! ✨

Starting September 27th, I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve opened up bookings for my new clinic space in Cambridge!

I’ll be working out of The Pilates Room Cambridge on Friday mornings, with the possibility of expanding my availability next year.

Things will have a different vibe in Cambridge—no receptionist, just me, running things solo. To keep everything smooth and simple, I encourage you to book your appointments online via the link in my bio.

In this new setup, I’ll be streamlining my supplement inventory. I’ll carry my top ten go-to supplements, but most of your orders will be shipped directly from the supplier after your appointment. If demand grows, I’ll reconsider stocking more items in the future.

You might be wondering, “Why Cambridge? Why not just add another day in Hamilton?” Well, great question! My family and I are considering a move to Cambridge, and I’m exploring what it could look like to work part-time there. Plus, after nearly 11 years in the same space, I’m craving a little change of scenery and a fresh challenge.

I’m feeling so excited about this new chapter and can’t wait to meet new faces in Cambridge and become a part of this wonderful community.

See you soon! 🌿

This is one of the only Cambridge related photos I have, but it’s cute, so ok to use it twice right!

It is Coeliac Awareness Week this week. I was diagnosed with coeliac disease at 20, a life-changing diagnosis for me in so many ways. Not only did it seemingly explain the symptoms I was experiencing, but it also changed the direction I took career-wise.

Coeliac disease can present in many ways. For me, it was:

- Diarrhoea
- Bloating
- Severe fatigue
- Anaemia and other deficiencies
- Poor growth
- Low immunity
- Sinus infections
- Migraines and daily headaches
- Irritability
- Poor concentration / brain fog
- Neurological symptoms – I had an absence seizure

Other symptoms of coeliac disease can be:
- Skin rashes
- Weight loss or weight gain
- Bruising
- Joint pain
- Mouth ulcers
- Infertility / recurrent miscarriage

Surprisingly, I don’t encounter as much coeliac disease in clinic as I thought I would, but certainly a lot of non-coeliac gluten sensitivity.

Do you struggle with some of these symptoms? Have you been screened for coeliac disease? Or have you been diagnosed and going gluten-free hasn’t resolved all of your symptoms? (🙋‍♀️ ps you’re not alone… thank goodness for naturopathy and integrative medicine)

It’s that time of the year again, the temperature has dropped and the winter bugs are out. It seems a lot of people have colds at the moment. Thankfully we have a lot of natural ways to support the immune system and reduce the duration and frequency of sickness!

Here are a few very basic ideas for boosting your immunity:

🌼 Echinacea: This powerful herb is known for its immune-boosting properties. It’s perfect for warding off colds and flu. A daily supplement can make a huge difference (make sure you’re taking echinacea root, like all herbs and nutrients quality and type matters).

🦠 Probiotics: A healthy gut means a healthy immune system. Incorporate probiotic-rich foods like yogurt, kefir, and sauerkraut, or consider a high-quality probiotic supplement.

🍊 Vitamins C and D: Vitamin C is a classic immune booster, found in citrus fruits and leafy greens. Don’t forget about Vitamin D, especially during the darker months—it’s crucial for immune function. Spend time outdoors or take a supplement to ensure you’re getting enough.

🍯 Manuka Honey: Not just a delicious treat, Manuka honey has antimicrobial properties that can help support your immune system. Add a spoonful to your tea or enjoy it straight from the jar.

🥦 Elderberry: Rich in antioxidants, elderberry can help reduce the severity and duration of colds and flu. Elderberry syrup is a tasty and effective way to stay healthy.

Remember, maintaining a balanced diet, staying hydrated, getting adequate sleep, exercise and managing stress are also key components to a robust immune system. 🌟

Thank you to everyone who entered, it’s been a fun experience for me. I’ve learnt a few things too (ie how to draw a winner - using an app of course haha).

Thank you for the kind words about the website, it’s a work in progress for sure but great to finally have something up.

I know so many of you could benefit from this, and while I’d love to offer my time to everyone, it’s just not feasible. Your interest and enthusiasm mean the world to me.

Congratulations to on winning. I hope it’ll be of value to you.
