Announcement for our International Pharmacists 📢

The previously used KAPS exam (Knowledge Assessment of Pharmaceutical Sciences exam) has been redesigned by Australian authorities and replaced!

The Overseas Pharmacist Readiness Assessment (OPRA™) will be required from March 2025.

If you have previously passed the KAPS, it is still valid in NZ for two years post the pass date.

This updated exam replaces the KAPS exam and offers several key improvements:
🔹Revised content: A stronger focus on therapeutics and practical application aligns with modern Australian pharmacy practice.
🔹Shorter exam duration: A single paper format and reduced exam time make it more efficient.
🔹Lower cost: The OPRA™ exam fee is lower than the previous KAPS exam.
🔹Improved methodology: The Rasch model ensures a more accurate and fair assessment of candidate knowledge.
