One thing that I always seem to hear from people...

"Ryan doing what you do, you must eat healthy all the time"

"Ryan, you'd never eat a pie...would you?"

"Hey Ryan, come for dinner...we will make sure it's something really healthy"

Also.....people who know me like looking in my shopping trolley at the supermarket and hiding their surprise and what they see.....stop looking in my trolley!!!🤣

Look.....as per the photo evidence, I enjoy ALL food and so do my clients.

I, along with the women that I coach live by the 80/20 rule.

80% of the time...get the good stuff in for your goals. Protein, fibre, good fats, water etc...

20% of the time.....live life!! Enjoy the drinks and food you love.

You see, the reason most of us have failed at nutrition programs and plans in the past is because they have been too bloody restrictive.

Fu that! I need my Guinness, Good Coffee and Pies to be part of my life!

And...if we do the 80/20 rule, the 80% will always outweigh the 20% for results PLUS we get to enjoy life and actually form habits we can sustain.

It's not all or nothing like you have done in the past, it's a balanced approach that works!

It's about being consistently good, not perfect.

It's also about losing the guilt around "bad" food.

I often get this question....

Why do you coach women going through peri menopause and menopause?

Right...first the obvious. I'm a male.

Have I gone through peri menopause or menopause? No.

Will I? No.

So what makes me entilted to coach women through this phase in their life to get great results mentally, physically and emotionally.

3 reasons....

1. I am well qualified and experienced to coach this area.

2. I give a s**t.

3. I give a s**t.

You see....I have been in the nutrition/fitness industry for over 25 years.

I have owned gyms, personal trained, lectured, consulted and now my 100% focus is coaching women.

Through my years in this industry I have seen so many women struggle to get results physically, mentally and emotionally, especially through the varied menopausal stages.

Too often I have seen these women receive bullšŸ’© advice from trainers, nutritionists and even some gps and specialists.

If they are struggling with weight, they are often told to eat less and move more.

If they are struggling with stress they are often told they need to up their exercise and "smash a workout" to relieve the stress ( fyi...this actually does the opposite)

If they are struggling with moods and emotions they are often given depression medication without even being asked about their lifestyle or nutrition.

Now, I'm not saying all cases are like this but sure as šŸ’© too many are!

I do what I do because women often spend many years having the focus on their family, kids, partner, career etc and put themselves down the priority list.

When the time comes that they want to actually do something to benefit themselves this often coincides with the stage of life hormones are bouncing all over the place.

This is tough to deal with and so many women give up on getting results pretty quickly as they often get the wrong advice and do the wrong things.

This is why I do what I do.

I coach my women clients both nutritionally and holistically.

I teach them how a flexible approach to nutrition is key to keeping consistent to achieve their results.

I coach them with gut health as the base and focus of attaining fantastic results.

I keep them educated, supported and accountable.

I am their biggest cheerleader and sometimes a right pain in their assšŸ˜Ž

If you’re still trying to hit exactly 1,700 calories every day, just stop. You’re not a robot. Give yourself a range, like 1,600 to 1,800, and keep going.
Nobody's life is falling apart because they ate 1,705 calories instead of 1,700. Seriously, calm down and make it sustainable.

2ļøāƒ£ Meal Prep is Trash. Do This Instead
Do you actually enjoy meal prepping? No, you don’t. Nobody does.
Spending hours on Sunday cooking tasteless food for the week is a waste of time.
What you need is ingredient prep. Have your essentials—lean meats, beans, veggies, rice, fruit, nuts, greek yoghurt—ready to throw together whenever you're hungry.
It’s way easier, way less miserable, and you’ll actually stick with it instead of getting sick of dry chicken by day three.

3ļøāƒ£ Keto is a Joke. Stop Believing in Fairy Tales
Oh, you’re thinking of doing keto?
Let me guess, someone told you carbs are the reason you have put on weight?
Keto isn’t some fat-burning magic trick. You’re just cutting out carbs, so you drop water weight and think you’re losing fat.
Wanna live your life without bread, pasta, or fruit? That’s just sad.
And let me be clear, as soon as you eat a normal meal again, BOOM, the weight's back. So stop trying to join the ā€œno carb cultā€ and eat like a normal person.
