Neil Alexander FOSTER 31/08/1936 - 29/08/2025

Neil passed away at home surrounded by his loved ones.

Loved Father of Errol, Tracey, Sharon, Leon, Bevan, Sandra, and Lincoln. Grandfather to 21 Grandchildren. Great-grandfather to 1 Great-grandchild.

A Service will be held at Simply Funerals Chapel, 449 Te Rapa Road, Te Rapa, Hamilton, on Friday, 5 September 2025, at 11:00 AM.

Followed by the cremation at The Te Rapa Crematorium, Te Rapa, Hamilton.

Thomasina Taituma (nee Henare) – Aged 78

It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Thomasina Taituma, aged 78, who passed peacefully at Summerset Resthome, surrounded by her whanau and the loving staff, on Monday, 1 September 2025 at 5:30am.

He Maimai Aroha
Kua hinga te rākau taumatua,
kua wehe atu koe, e te whaea aroha.
Haere ki tō hoa rangatira, a Roy,
mōe mai rā i te rangimārie.
Haere, haere, haere atu rā.

Born on 8 September 1945 in Raurimu, Thomasina was the cherished daughter of Hine Rongonui and Tamati Henare. Affectionately known as Tommy to many, she lived a full life marked by strength, dedication, and aroha for her whanau and community.

Thomasina was the beloved wife of the late Roy Taituma. Together they raised six children: David, Marie, Dennis, Donna, Frances, and Jason. Her greatest joy was her mokopuna, whom she adored and lovingly spoiled with endless cuddles and lollies.

Tommy was a hardworking woman, known for her determination and generous heart. She worked tirelessly into her early 70s until a stroke in July 2022 led to a quieter life. Her time as a taxi driver brought her great joy, and it was during those years that she met her partner, Arthur Thomas.

She was a passionate supporter of her children’s education and sporting achievements — from skiing and basketball to netball, softball, karate, and more. Her fierce pride in her children’s and mokopuna's successes was steadfast.

A lover of animals, especially her cats and her beloved Cagney, Tommy also held a deep affection for her National Park community — a place and people she carried close to her heart throughout her life.

Thomasina will lie at Simply Funeral Homes, 449 Te Rapa Road, Te Rapa, Hamilton, from 5:00pm on Monday, 1 September.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, 3 September at 11:00am, followed by cremation.

It’s bigger and better! A safe space where we can comfortably accommodate for Our Loved Ones & Family we look after.

I forgot to mention this in the video - Disclaimer: This Loved One who had their Service this day, was in a loan casket, ( Casket Only used for service day ) hence why after Service we transferred this Loved One into a eco-friendly casket ( Ready for Cremation ) 🥰 I hope you guys enjoy these videos!
