Unlox'U - Eating Psychology Clinic

Unlox'U - Eating Psychology Clinic We combine interventions from psychology, nutrition and neuroscience to address the hidden reasons for food cravings, overeating, and binge eating.

So you can regain control around food and healthy eating comes easily to you. Food issues, including binge eating, emotional eating or any other eating disorders can rarely be addressed through nutritional advice alone. Typically disordered eating of any form has several psychological factors underlying it. Whether the eating is stress-driven, is addressing a need for comfort or control or is responding to past trauma or some other psychological drivers - food issues are best treated through a combination of both nutritional and psychological interventions. Unlox'u - Eating Psychology Clinic uses a range of proven methods such as NLP, CBT, ACT and Mindfulness to address the root causes of your disordered eating, so that you can be free of dieting/food struggles/eating disorders for life.

If overeating at night or nighttime binge eating is a struggle for you, we need to look at your way of eating during the day.

If you are truly restricting or even feel like you shouldn't be eating so much food ( even if you do eat enough calories) that's enough for the brain to believe that food is scarce.

It will try to compensate at night, when you are tired of making decisions and are at your weakest.

A podcast on exactly this topic is coming up on Tuesday to explain what to do instead, and 5 other reasons why you might feel like: "Why Can I not stop overeating at night, when I can eat perfectly during the day."

Do you eat “perfectly” all day… only to lose control at night?
You’re not weak — your brain is wired this way.

In my new blog, I break down why we overeat at night (restriction, decision fatigue, dopamine, cortisol drops & habit loops) — and share practical tools to stop binge eating after dinner. 🍫🥨

Podcast on this topic is coming up, too.

5 Reasons for overeating and food cravings at nighttime and why binge eating urges are the strongest in the evening.

✨ Thinking about weight loss surgery? ✨

Here’s the truth no one tells you:

👉 Surgery can change your stomach… but it won’t automatically change your relationship with food.
👉 Overeating, binge eating, and emotional eating patterns often show up again — unless you work on the psychology behind it.

In my latest podcast episode on Solve the Overeating Puzzle, I am talking to Lauren Peat who is a Bariatric Nurse and Coach where we dive into:

✔️ What to know before surgery
✔️ How to navigate recovery after surgery
✔️ The mental & emotional side of food — the real key to long-term success

💛 If you’ve ever thought about weight loss surgery (or had it already), this episode will give you tools, clarity and insightful information.

When you want to give up and your brain screams to stop because you don't believe to be able to achieve that goal - whether it's weight loss, getting fit or training for that marathon...

Remember that that survival brain is just trying to protect you from feeling disappointed.

However, you have the power to focus on the next step, to tune the noise out and keep going.

You will be thankful for it, when you are done.

Latest podcast is out now. All about how to keep going when your brain tells you: " What is the point... you can't do it anyway"

Years end reflections part 2.

Second year had its ups and downs.

After I got told in the morning that I csn go home immediately, it took me a week to even digest what happened.

A company which I came to Germany for let me go without warning, without income and without any support.

Suddenly we were on our own, living from our savings without knowing when the next paycheck will come.

It truly took me a lot of mental work to focus on the next step without allowing fear to take over.

While looking for the next job, we did make the most out of our time together: summer, trips, precious time with oma and opa.

I did get a job after two months of applying and can say that maybe it was for the better that way. I am now in an environment where I am appreciated and my skills are truly wanted.

We enjoyed our first Christmas in Germany and our New Years Even reflecting on the learnings and setting intentions for the year ahead.

We are open to look into some opportunities for us as a family and I am incredibly gratefully to have these, too.

Year End Reflection part 1.
It's been a massive year. Insta doesn't allow me to post enough pictures to reflect this year. So I am going to do it in two parts.

It feels like it's been the biggest year of my life after giving birth to my baby girl.

Going through the images sent tears to my eyes and I feel truly emotional thinking about it.

These are some big moments in 2024:

Moving to Germany, starting full-time employment, stopping breastfeeding, sending my baby to kindergarten, restarting exercise after a year and after birth, adjusting to a new city, a new life, trying to find balance between full-time work and motherhood, being made redundant without any notice, looking for a new job...

and lots and lots of ups and downs in between.

The only way to overcome binge is to really understand the root cause. Once we can heal the trauma, address the needs, wants, fears snd wishes of the wounded inner child, then we can slowly heal our relationship with food and rewrite the meaning of food.

I have prepared a free guide where I explain all 13 underlying reasons that lead to overeating, binge eating and food cravings. It's free.

Just DM me and I will send you the link to it.
