A new year doesn’t need urgency. It’s a chance to pause, reflect, and think a little more carefully about what actually matters.

Ageing isn’t something to fix in January. It’s something to understand over time. Good aesthetic medicine is rarely about quick decisions. It’s about listening, planning, and choosing what’s right for each person.

The sun is out in all its glory now, and this is when sunscreen really matters.

Over the past year, the team at Jeunesse has been checking how patients apply their sunscreen, and many are genuinely shocked when they see it under a UV camera.

Here, Dr K shows the difference between sunscreen application in normal light versus under a UV camera. When it appears black, it means the correct amount has been applied and the skin is properly protected. Patchy or grey areas mean UV is still getting through.

Most people underapply, especially on the face and neck. A light layer is not doing what it is meant to do.

If you want to know whether you’re applying sunscreen correctly, just ask us next time you’re in.
