I came across this quote in a podcast the other day and thought, I must share this!
At first glance, this quote might seem to contradict what we traditionally associate with being a champion - that is, someone who excels in their field and is the best of the best. However, what Ali meant was that a true champion doesn't just focus on their own success, but also on the well-being of others. For Ali, being a champion meant using his platform to speak out against injustice and fight for what was right.
How can we apply Ali's words to our own lives? As men, we may often feel pressure to be the best and succeed at all costs. However, Ali's quote reminds us that true greatness is not just about personal success, but also about how we use our success to make the world a better place. Instead of focusing solely on our own achievements, we can strive to use our talents and resources to help others and fight for what we believe in.
Questions to consider: So, what will you do to be a champion in your own life? How can you use your success to make a positive impact on the world around you? Remember, the canvas is no place for a champion - it's out in the world, where we have the power to make a real difference.
Be kind, be real, be you!
Mauri ora!!!
