Kindness doesnât have to be big or costly, it can be as simple as a smile, a kind word, holding the door, shouting someone a coffee, or checking in on a friend.
The smallest gestures can brighten someoneâs whole day
Letâs spread a little extra kindness today (and every day!) you never know how much it might mean to someone

Today, we take a moment to hold in our thoughts all the dads whose children are no longer here. Fatherhood is love that never ends, and even in loss, that love remains strong, deep, and enduring.
To all the bereaved fathers, we see you, we honour your grief, and we acknowledge the bond you carry forever in your heart.

Rainbow Place is New Zealand's only specialist children's and young person's Hospice service.
It is where children, young people and their families/whÄnau can find care and support throughout this most difficult time.
We offer compassionate care and support, tailored specifically to you and your child's needs.
We recognise that caring for a child with a life limiting illness changes a familyâs life forever, so your Rainbow Place team will be with you as you undertake this journey, offering advice and support as you require.
Our team will advocate for your family to have the support required to be able to enhance the time you have together.
We visit in your home, hospitals and community (e.g. schools, marae) and coordinate the care of your child, working with all health care professionals involved while acknowledging that parents and caregivers know the child best.
Our family services team have a range of support services available which are all provided at no charge. Rainbow Place also offers on site respite care. This helps to ensure the whole family/whÄnau get the support (and sleep) needed.
