All our libraries will be closing early on Wednesday 24 December at 3pm, and will be closed on statutory public holidays.

Central, Glenview, Hillcrest Library at Hamilton Gardens, and St Andrews Library will be closed from Thursday 25 December to Sunday 4 January.

Chartwell, Dinsdale and Te Kete Aronui Rototuna Library will be operating on reduced hours:

Saturday 27 December and Sunday 28 December: Chartwell and Te Kete Aronui Rototuna Library will be open between 9.30am - 5pm. Dinsdale Library will be open between 9.30am - 1pm.

Monday 29 December and Tuesday 30 December: Chartwell, Dinsdale, and Te Kete Aronui Rototuna Library will be open between 9.30am - 5.30pm.

Wednesday 31 December: Chartwell, Dinsdale, and Te Kete Aronui Rototuna Library will be open between 9.30am - 3pm.

Saturday 3 January and Sunday 4 January: Chartwell and Te Kete Aronui Rototuna Library will be open between 9.30am - 5pm. Dinsdale Library will be open between 9.30am - 1pm.

Christmas used to feel like a checklist.

Buy this,
wrap that,
rush everywhere.

But as we grow older, we start to see it differently… it’s not the presents that matter, but presence.

Some people don’t need another gift.
They just need a hug.

Some don’t need a big dinner.
They just want peace.

Some don’t need anything wrapped…
they just need company.

So this Christmas season, instead of racing through December,
let’s slow down.
Let’s be comfort.
Let’s be warmth.
Let’s be love to someone who needs it. 💛

Because honestly…
Christmas hits different when your heart is the gift.

And at the end of it all,
that’s what this season is really about…Jesus showing us what love looks like.
