Fantastic news! There's no longer a $5 collection charge to pick up most prescription items from your local pharmacy.

There's no longer a $5 collection charge to pick up most prescription items from your local pharmacy. This means most prescriptions will now be free for you to collect.

You may still have to pay to collect some prescription items, for example for medicines prescribed by private specialists and private dentists.

Any family which pays for 20 prescription items in a year is eligible for a Prescription Subsidy Card, which means they won’t have to pay for any more prescription items until 1 February the following year. A family includes a person’s partner and dependent children aged from 14 to 18.

Collecting prescription items for children under 14 is already free.

We've gone pink for the day!

Nine Kiwi women are diagnosed with breast cancer every day. That’s 3,500 women a year and 25 men too. Breast Cancer Foundation NZ are working towards a vision of zero deaths from breast cancer. They provide support, life-saving education and help fund vital research into more effective treatments.

Keep an eye out for our team during the Pink Walk on October 27 around the Hamilton Lake 💝

**Nurse position available**

We are seeking applications for a Registered Nurse who has experience in General Practice and who is available to work 5 days per week Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm.

This will be for a 12 month contract initially to cover maternity leave with the possibility of permanent employment.

Position to commence January 2023.

We are looking for someone to bring their knowledge, skills and experience to complement our existing friendly team.

You will need to be a NZ Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practicing Certificate. Experience in primary care is preferred. Immunisation and smear certification as well as B4 school checks and wound care is preferable.

Medtech Evolution experience is preferred but not essential.

Strong verbal and written communication skills and patient focused care is needed and the ability to work under pressure with great time management skills.
