Hi My name is Steve Mallett I'm 52

I started No Barriers Personal Training after returning to my native Hamilton New Zealand after spending 18 years in the Canadian fitness industry. My vision is to bring the personal back into personal training, look at the bodies biomechanics and pass on the science and guaranteed results from working alongside some of the best health professionals in their field. Specialities:

My passion is to work with people who want results but may have a condition or injury and don’t have the know how to do it safely, so whether you’re trying to minimise pain, lose weight but recovering from an injury, improve performance or a pre existing sickness. I have worked with many people recovering from or in therapy for cancer and have had a very personal experience within my own family; these clients continue to inspire me everyday. I have also worked extensively with athletes and coaches in the sports of freestyle wrestling, Judo, Soccer, Squash, Tennis, Ice hockey, Volleyball, Golf, and helped produce many Canadian national champions. I was fortunate to work alongside I.O.C certified Canadian dietician Nancy Fong for 5 years and I have a good understanding of nutrition needs
My training approach was seeked out by Canadian Prince Edward Island Orthopaedic surgeon Dr Steve Miller and Physiotherapist Ralph Manning as a referral for their clients which we maintained for 5 years. I believe in positive affirmation and enlightening that spirit of belief in my clients, my approach is to be better at solving anatomical issues and being meticulous in doing so. Qualifications:

Steve Mallett and I worked closely together on many cases. I enjoy the comfort of knowing my patients are well looked after by a concerned qualified trainer. I had scoliosis surgery 6 months later I decided to hire a trainer to get my back strong again. I had met with a few trainers and each of them were afraid to train me as they were unfamiliar with the type of rehabilitation needed after my surgery. when I met Steve he was very confident that he could help me, he gently pushed me to my limits and got the results I wanted. Steve is a kind hearted and genuine, someone who truly takes an interest in your life and health. Nicole Mead

P.E.I Canada

Steve has provided me with a complete personally tailored fitness program to help me recover core strength, flexibility and stress relief from the results of colon cancer. In just 9 months twice a week with Steve and four days on my own following his workout plan I had seen significant results, from the low of major surgery, anaemia and weakness to a position of strength and a sense of well being. Steve understands the biomechanics of an individual and knows what is needed to bring about a balanced, challenging fun program. Stephanie Leadbeater: Alberta Canada Previous commonwealth games 400 metre hurdles competitor. I would not be still skiing and cycling at 53 if it weren’t for you working with me on rehab for my back injury 10 years ago now! Michelle Thompson
P.E.I Canada. I have found Steve to be a very knowledgeable personal trainer regarding appropriate rehabilitation programs for two of my patients. He has a wholistic approach to not only the injury that they are recovering from but also an attentiveness to other health challenges they are presented with. I have no hesitation in recommending Steve to clients who are seeking a personal trainer as part of their ongoing management. Donna Jacobs B.P.T
