From Next week
Ashleigh, a 4th year student midwife will be joining me to complete some hours of practical work (I can't remember how many hours)
If I am currently your midwife, can you please let me know if you are comfortable with Ashleigh joining in your journey. This could mean antenatal appointments, labour and birth and your postnatal care
This also means I need to clean out my car! Who else has a disgusting car you can't take people anywhere in?

Another batch of pikelets made for another afternoon shift in Delivery Suite
You never know how the previous shift has been..so a little bit of sugar is bound to be well received
Somehow.....I booked no mama's due for the month of February, so there's likely to be a few shifts coming my way this month

57 babies welcomed, 32 boys and 25 girls. 2 of these precious angels, born too soon for this world.
8 little babies lost through miscarriage
3 sets of twins
And a couple of sneaky 2024 due date babies
Not all names are on this list, as some are yet to be named
If I can hope for anything for 2024, that it be a healing year for those who have lost a precious baby, and for those wanting to be pregnant, may 2024 be your year

They have delivered more goodies for the xmas eve box, a new book and santas plates and key.
Tonight when I get home from work i will wrap the tv in wrapping paper
And then they can be cuddled tomorrow, get back in their sleigh, and leave with Santa!!!

It's a 2 for 1 kind-of day today
Being self employed makes this time of year a bit tricky...throw into that a week off with covid, school finishing, not being organised for Christmas, and a full week of work.
So...Beau has packed some things to keep himself occupied while I do home visits today.
He is happy to sit on doorsteps while I do home visits, but not happy to go to a school holiday program
