I am Claire, a mother of two. I've been working with children for over 20 years and especially love providing an atmosphere children can thrive and grow in. I know how important it is to find an educator you trust and someone who understands the highs and lows of being a parent. I hold a current Child First Aid Certificate and have completed NZQA Early Childhood Education and Care Level 4. I am currently under Early Education Waikato Homebased. You could be entitled to 20 hours ECE for 3 and over or a WINZ subsidy, if eligible. WhatI offer: I have spaces for up to four children each day in my home-based family day care. I have a warm and inviting place with accessible toys and quality learning materials, along with areas to find quiet time to think, to build, to imagine, to read, to play, to discover! My day care is a place where security, identity and belonging are paramount. I also have a covered conservatory area for all-weather activities. My Philosophy for childcare:
I strive to provide a warm, friendly and nurturing home-based, caring environment for all my children and their parents. I enjoy offering planned activities according to each child's specific needs as well as quality resources and opportunities for self-directed play both indoors and outdoors. It is important to me that children are able to explore, experiment, investigate and participate in the environment around them... and this is how I have set up my learning and play spaces throughout our house. I am a huge believer in getting children out into the garden, growing and caring for plants and the environment. I incorporate a lot of recycling in our play and your children come away thriving with new skills. I celebrate cultural activities in our community and enjoy visiting local play groups, parks and playgrounds, and get out and do walks as weather permits.
