🌞 Did you know getting kids outside is actually AMAZING for their eyes?

It turns out that sunshine and outdoor play do more than just burn energy — they can help slow down the development of myopia (short‑sightedness). Studies show kids who spend about 90–120 minutes outdoors each day have a much lower chance of becoming myopic. The bright natural light helps regulate healthy eye growth in ways indoor lighting just can’t.

One huge study of over 6,000 children even found that adding just 40–80 minutes of extra outdoor time at school reduced the risk of myopia by 11–16% over two years. How cool is that?

And it doesn’t have to be sports or anything fancy — playing in the backyard, riding bikes, walking the dog, jumping on the trampoline… it all counts! Plus, big research reviews confirm that more outdoor time helps slow down myopia progression too.

Myopia is becoming more common in children, and catching it early can make a big difference! Here are some signs to watch for:
🔍 Squinting to see the board or distant objects
📺 Sitting too close to the TV or holding books/devices close

🙈 Covering one eye or tilting the head to focus
📉 Drop in school performance or avoiding sports

Night time Low Dose Atropine Eyedrops to slow Myopia
The use of Atropine in slowing down the progression of myopia was reported in the 19th century. The effectiveness of Atropine for myopia control has been documented in research literature. Low dose Atropine eye drops (0.01%) are a new treatment used for myopia control.
Recent research has proven that Atropine at a lower concentration (0.01% instead of 1.0%) is effective in reducing the rate of myopia progression. This lower concentration has a much lower likelihood of side effects, and is well tolerated by patients.
