Every now and then I get a beautifully unplanned moment which fills my heart🥰

How cute are these 2 brothers. Older boy was off to his new passion, football training after his Bowen this arvo, and his biggest fan was along for the ride. So when I asked big brother to take his shoes off and get on the bed, guess who had to too!

I adore working with kids, for anyone who doesn't know, I did that part time before taking the clinic full time almost 5 years ago.

Thanks to the boy's mum who was snapping pics for the family who all have their turn on this bed, and was more than happy to share this photo with you all🙏 I wish her nothing but a lovely post Bowen sleep tonight for both boys😁✨

Module 12, the final one! 🎉

Last weekend in Wellington I completed this hands on training module for the second time, and passed my written exam.

I am so proud to say that I have received the Bowtech® Specialized Bowen Procedures 2 certification. 🧑‍🎓

Pictured here with my fellow graduates, Bowen Therapy New Zealand colleagues and instructors from across our country, and the wonderful instructor .spicer from Australia, the home of Bowtech® Bowen Therapy the original Bowen Technique.

Feeling proud, and fizzing with enthusiasm, already using some of these specialized procedures for my clients in the clinic this week.

Grateful to have such solid support in my Bowen Therapy career🙏 my cup is full🥰

Sooo... this is my least favourite of all posts to make, but also necessary to stay in business for you. I have shouldered the increases to overheads for a while now, but after some number crunching I can't not pass it on.

All appointments that were booked before April 1st, I will honour the old pricing.

$5 increase for adults, is as low as I could keep it.

They Need Your Help 🤝

EIT ACE course 'Zero Waste Sewing' are looking for donations of WARM BLANKETS (bonus if they are woolen) and flannelette sheets. They are going to upcycle these into coats for our unhoused friends to keep them cosy during winter. No worries if there are a few small holes or tears as they are easily mendable.

PLEASE NOTE: They do not have to be the 'retro kiwi' blankets.

Donations can be dropped into EIT Maraenui Learning Centre between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday. (Or contact Marty 027 826 4568 to arrange collection)

Hows your home, or office vibes? Do you ever wish you could change the atmosphere, well you can support the createation of a harmonious environment using aromatherapy. Its age old wisdom of the plant world, used by generations before us. 🌼🌳🍂

These days we use a fancy diffuser which make it simple to set and forget, it will switch itself off automatically when empty. It also works as a humidifier for anyone needing that during summer drying the air with airconditioning.

Or you can use these blends on a diffuser bracelet, or directly as they've been blended to be suitable to do directly onto skin.

My favourite diffuser is the nature sounds/white noise one which also has a silent setting. You can use the tranquil sounds or white noise in the bedroom to help get to sleep, or you may have enjoyed it in the waiting room at Soothe my Soul - Bowen & Massage Hawke's Bay.

My supplier Julie gave me a crazy deal on these diffusers when I stocked up, so of course I'm passing that onto you💜

Last year I did some online study with the University of Canterbury .

I wanted to upskill and ensure that I'm responding to clients disclosures of personal or traumatic situations, appropriately.

I really enjoyed the study process, and learnt a lot. And today I received this fancy badge!

I've re-enrolled, and this semester I'm studying Nutrition & Wellbeing. Both courses are by Dr Julia Rucklidge who I've followed for a while and respect greatly, since reading her book The Better Brain which outlined all her research in this area.

There's always so much to learn to help us understand better how the human body and mind work.

The course covers the relationship between psychology and wellbeing. Providing insights into topics such as happiness and the impact of cognitive processes can have on wellbeing. It helps learners identify and avoid common cognitive distortions that affect our thinking, such as, negative thing traps...
