We call ourselves health professionals but sometimes working in the medical sector makes you feel like you’re a disease expert instead. Shape My Health was born out of a desire to keep people healthy and prevent disease so we could truly own the title health professional!
This approach to health comes under the emerging field of Lifestyle Medicine. Up to 90 % of chronic disease can be prevented with attention to lifestyle in four key areas: diet, physical activity, sleep/stress management and emotional connectedness.
Our two doctors are members of the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine which provides evidence based training to assist our patients to make healthy adjustments to their daily habits.
