REMINDER: Amputee Awareness Week Events.

1️⃣ The first is a visit to the Faraday Centre - Museum of Technology followed by lunch at Clubs Napier (Vautier St)
Date: Saturday 11th October

Time: 10:00am

Address: 2B Faraday Street, Napier South

Cost: Adults $9.50 Children $5.00 (discounted) plus self-funded lunch

Bring the family and come explore this incredible museum where science and technology come alive! Please note, displays are set across 2 levels and there is no lift access to the first floor but the bottom floor is accessible.

2️⃣ The second is a visit to the MTG Museum followed by lunch at The Pavillion Sports Bar (Portside - just down from the MTG)
Date: Sunday 12th October

Time: 10:00am

Address: 1 Tennyson Street, Napier South

Cost: FREE Admission plus self-funded lunch

Bring the family and browse the curated selection of books, art, crafts and more. Fully accessible across all floors and carpark is located on Hershell Street. Before entering, a staff member will meet us to give an introduction so we will meet in the entry at 10:00am sharp!

Event held by Waikato, Bay of Plenty. Well attended and enjoyed by members.

Awesome day out with the Amputee Society at Classic Flyers today. We met up for a coffee and muffin, and had a great chat. Then, we took a walk through the museum section, where we saw some old planes, aeroplane pedal cars, and lots of history and memorabilia. Big thanks to everyone who came along .

This event is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair users .

Saturday 1st November with a backup for the following Saturday 8th November .
7am meet in Taupo
Vehicle Scrutineering (NZ4WD Assn requirement)
Passengers to 4x4 allocation.

8am forward meeting with other drivers.

4pm end
5pm banquet by Offset Catering Rakanui Road.
7pm end.

Please make your you are comfortable using long drops AND "behind bush"... And are comfortable on uneven terrain.

Dates will be finalized based on demand.

Bring warm ALPINE Clothing. Snow expected.

Bring own snacks and drinks.
