There’s no growth in the comfort zone and no comfort in the growth zone.

Continue to thrive Tāne Ma😎

03/04/2025

A big part of our kaupapa is putting our tāne in positions where they can thrive and overcome negativity and it’s a journey and a process that takes time and effort. TRUST THE PROCESS!!👏👏 The only way to overcome the system is to educate yourself and then use those tools to thrive. If you want to thrive in Te Aō Māori, Learn your whakapapa, connect to your Marae, Hapu and Iwi, learn your Reo and then teach your tamariki. We have everything we need to thrive e te iwi.

Matua Chris shared more korero and whakaaro on a way for us to cope with our stresses, a way we can check in on our friends and a tool for self reflection all in one🙂

Remember to keep ourselves safe and to take care of our relationships, emotions, food, activities and sleep.

It’s beautiful to have these spaces for our whānau to learn and adjust to bettering our mental health and improving the quality of life alongside and for our whānau.

Ngā Mihi mahana ki a koe Matua Chris for sharing with us your knowledge❤️🙂

What is Home? Is it a place, a person or a feeling. A lot of our whānau grow up not knowing what home is for many reasons and feel unloved and disconnected from their family and loved ones. This korero helped me to understand what home means and what that feels like. Matua Chris also gave us the tools to understand that home can help us overcome any difficulties, problems or moments of feeling disconnected.

Leon’s story - PART 2

Prior to our wānanga the news was dropped that Whānau Ora had lost their contract and of course that stirred up a lot of uncertainty and unpredictability around what the future had in store we could see the change in his ahua and knew there would’vee been a mix of emotions.

Prior to Leon’s mahi as a whānau Ora navigator he was an experienced forklift driver at Watties in Hastings and had been for awhile. The korero around hauora became an issue and Leon decided it was time to put Health before Wealth rather than Wealth before health. There he linked up with some like minded individuals and began his journey helping our community and whānau.
