When choosing a name for my practice, I returned again and again to the word sanctuary - a space of safety, softness and belonging.
A space where grief, along with the many layered emotions and experiences woven into the human condition, can be safely explored and expressed.
I was deeply moved by Bayo Akomolafe’s call to "make sanctuary for grief" - not as a place to fix or move past pain, but a place to be with it. A space where we slow down, listen closely and allow the sorrow itself to speak.
Haven was born from that vision: a quiet invitation to come as you are.
To be with your story.
To make room for what’s tender, unclear and still becoming.
This is the heart of my practice. A place where creativity and embodied expression offer ways to be with what words cannot always hold.
Welcome to Haven Arts Therapy ✨
"What if the times are urgent, and we must slow down? Maybe the way we respond to crisis is part of the crisis. Maybe we need to make sanctuary for our grief - to listen, to fall apart, to re-member differently." - Bayo Akomolafe
