Passed away peacefully

Daughter of Waipa Te Rito and William Te Haki (Tom) Whaanga.

Mother of Amorangi Raukura Raiha Glenda, Hinemanu Maioha, Ruahine Rangiwhenua, Oraka Tiaki Puawai. Nanny of Maioha Ryann and Hikairo Te Uamairangi.

Sister to Joanne, Mereaera, Fred, Vernon and Glenda.

Te Muri will arrive at Omāhu Marae
11am Monday 21 July.

Burial will be 11am Tuesday 22 July at Omāhu Urupā.

A final viewing has been arranged by Kevins family for those who would like to say a final farewell on Tuesday 22nd July 2025 between 2- 4pm at Simplicity Bereavement Services - 108 Alexandra Crescent

A private ceremony with family will take place on Wednesday 23rd July 2025. Kevins cremation will occur shortly thereafter.

A private farewell will be held for Cherokee before she leaves at 10am to make her final journey to Hawke’s Bay where a private cremation would be held.

Joseph Wiparata is currently laying at 7 Nash street Napier. He will have poroporoaki for the whanau tomorrow night on Sunday at 7pm.

Monday he will have dinner at 7 Nash street then moved to the Napier Pad to spend his last night with our MM RED WHANAU

11:30am service at Hastings Crematorium

Lifelong friend of Elaine, younger brother and brother-in-law to Jeanette, David (deceased), and Teisa.

Uncle to Alan (deceased) and David, and great uncle to Dylan, Madison and Taelyn.

As per Alan's wishes, a private cremation was held.

With heavy hearts we share the loss of our Koro, and Uncle Bill Ngātuere beloved husband of Elizabeth, who left us last night to the waiting arms of his tūpuna. Haere hoki atu rā e Koro, moe mai.

We will be leaving Simplicity Bereavement Services and Aniwaniwa Funerals in Hastings to begin the journey back to Whetu Ariki Pā 31 Te Hau Rd Whatatutu and should arrive there at 12pm. He will lay in state there until his Nehu at 10am on Sunday 15th after which he will be interred at Tapu o te Rangi Urupā in Whatatutu.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished member of our whānau, Maria Eva Warahia Abbott who passed away peacefully on the 9th June 2025 surrounded by loved ones.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at The Te hauke Chaple, on Thursday 12th June 2025 at 11am followed by her final resting place.

She is laying at Kahuranaki Marae where friends and whānau are welcome to come and pay their respects and Aroha.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and warmth that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Forever loved by her husband, Marvin Abbott, her children, Late Haira Abbott, Audrey Abbott, Darrel Abbott, Jarrod Abbott and Hector Abbott and A precious nanny to all her mokopuna, wider whānau and friends.

With sadness, Kathleen Anne Henare peacefully passed away Tuesday 10th June 2025 in Hastings surrounded by her loved ones.

Eldest of 13 children, daughter of the Late Isabel and George Stevens ( stepfather Te Rangi Turoa Renata (dec).

Wife of the late Mohi Henare and mother of Ronald (dec) and survived by her son Areke (partner of David Macklow)

Kathleen (Anne) will be at Areke’s home, 202 McLeod Street, from Wednesday morning, and on Thursday at 6PM, will be church.

On Friday, 13 June 2025, a service will be held at the house at 9am, followed by an interment with Mohi at Mangaroa Cemetery.
Please be aware, whānau, that there is limited parking.
