It's ! Let's chat about river crossing red flags 🌊 🚩

Next time you're out on a tramp, hunt, or hike and approach a river, keep an eye out for these 4 signs of an unsafe river:

🚩 Too fast? Is it moving faster than your normal walking pace?
🚩 Too murky? Is the water brown and dirty?
🚩 Too messy? Are there logs, branches or other debris in the water?
🚩 Too loud? Do you hear roaring water or rolling rocks?

If you answer yes to any of these questions, don’t cross.

Alex Bruniges
Job Title: Physiotherapist

Hometown: A hard one! I am from the South of England originally and moved to the Kapiti Coast as a teenager but I have spent most of my time in the Queenstown area!
What is your favorite pastime? Going for a trail run with my Golden Retriever dog.
What do you enjoy most about your job? Seeing people get better and having a laugh with them along the way!
What is one thing we would be surprised to know about you? In a previous life before becoming a physio I was a hiking guide on the Milford Track!
Where is the best spot to visit in New Zealand? So many to choose from... Milford Track (I am biased!), Red Tarns in Aoraki NP, Lennox Falls of the Rees Track.
