💉Blood Tests - Helpful Tip🩸
If you have a blood test coming up, make sure you drink plenty of water before your appointment.
👉Staying well- hydrated helps your veins show up more easily, which means blood tests can be quicker and more comfortable.
💧A simple glass of water can make a big difference for you and the nurses taking your sample.

This week Te Hiku Hauora released a
Kino Te Waipiro - Alcohol Harms Kaupapa.
Please share with any whanau you know who may be interested.
There is no safe amount or safe time to drink alcohol during pregnancy. Even small amounts can harm baby’s brain, body, and future development.
The safest choice is to stay alcohol-free throughout pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Help us keep māmā and pēpi safe - share this kōrero with your friends and whānau.

Massive thanks to the Far North REAP Road Safety whānau for the opportunity to be part of this awesome kaupapa!
By the end of this week's training, we'll have our very own local Child Restraint Technicians 💪 Child Restraint Technicians play an important role in keeping tamariki safe on our roads.
Over the next few days, Shannon and Karen will be out and about in Kaitaia, Hokianga, Kaikohe, and Moerewa, joining the Road Safety Team and NZ Police at education checkpoints. This will be a great chance for them to gain hands-on experience while helping to keep our communities and whānau safe on the roads. Give them a big shout out if you see them e te whānau 😁🥰

Morena,
A reminder that our Te Kao clinic will be closed this week while we move a number of our services to the Te Kao Seventh Day Adventist Church, in preparation for our rebuild. This will mean if you are needing to see a Nurse or schedule an appointment with the GP it will be at one of our other clinics in Pukenui or Te Hapua.
