Whanau the last day has sadly arrived and the team officially permanently close the door to Birthcare Huntly services and our page.

To all who have been a part of our journey thank you from the bottom of our hearts it's been the up most privilege ❤️

AROHA NUI from all the Girls we will miss you all.

A note to our current and future hapu mamas the LMCs( midwives) are still in the front offices of the facility, appointments by arrangement only.

Today we Say Haere ra to our wonderful Nurse Joy from Family planning, Its been an absolute honor to have had you in our Birthcare Whanau over the years, We all wish you the very best and also a massive thank you to family planning for giving raahui Pokeka an out reach clinic each week.

Morena whanau, its with great sadness that I share with you that we have been informed our unit will be closing its doors on 31st October 23. This is due to low numbers and a lack of funding.

Mastitis happens to about 15% of māmā who give birth. Here are the new recommendations for managing breast inflammation and mastitis while breastfeeding.

We used to recommend heat and massage, but that is no longer advisable.
