Hypnosis Help So, what is hypnotherapy? Hypnotherapy is a form of therapy used to reprogram the subconscious mind. Many describe hypnosis as a state of focused attention. Well.

When under hypnosis you put your mind and body into a heightened state of learning, making you more susceptible to suggestions for self-improvement or behavioral changes. They feel very calm and relaxed. You may have been hypnotised on your own without even realising it. Have you ever got in the car and you get to your destination but don’t remember some of the journey, that is a form of hypnosis.

“As a general rule of thumb, most people are hypnotisable. A hypnotherapist can provide the words, you must be open to relaxing into it. And what isn’t hypnotherapy? Hypnotherapy is not like what you see on comedy shows, where you’ll often see people barking like a dog or clucking like a chicken. There are no swinging pocket watches. In a hypnotherapy session, you are in control the whole time. You will hear the suggestions made to you, and you will be able to remember them after the session. what is hypnosis like? During your first session, we will likely begin by talking about your end goal, any issues I need to be aware of and what is happening in your life currently. We will then work together to come up with a treatment plan. When we do our first hypnotherapy treatment, I will gently give you instructions to follow such as ‘think of a place that brings you a deep sense of ease’ Once you enter a state of hypnosis, your body will feel calm and relaxed, even as you enter a state of increased awareness, similar to the way you might feel when meditating. I will speak to you in a calm and gently assertive voice and place the suggestions you agreed to in your treatment plan into your subconscious mind. It really doesn’t matter if you are thinking other thoughts as I talk. Let your mind wonder, it will go to where it needs to be. And what does hypnosis work for? Hypnosis for weight loss or quitting habits such as smoking or drinking is how most people think of hypnosis. While people do often seek hypnosis therapy for these reasons, there are numerous other benefits of hypnotherapy. People may see a hypnotherapist before and during childbirth or to increase self-esteem. It can also be used to assist with pain, insomnia, IBS and many other things. But what doesn’t it work for? Hypnotherapists provide the tools; you are in control of how you use these tools and how willing you are to accept the suggestions. It’s important to remember that hypnotherapists are not medical doctors. While hypnosis can help with pain management, it does not cure diseases.
