CPR & First Aid for Whānau 💙

Next Monday at 6pm we’re hosting a free two-hour session designed to give parents, grandparents and caregivers the confidence to respond in an emergency. The focus is on pēpi and tamariki, with practical kōrero around CPR, using an AED, and what to do if your little one is choking, having a seizure, or facing common injuries and illnesses.

You’ll also learn the important signs to watch for in conditions like RSV, meningitis and anaphylaxis, as well as who to call and where to turn when you need help.

This is about making sure our whānau feel prepared, supported, and ready for the unexpected.

As winter notches up a gear and the temperatures drop, make sure you're looking after yourself with these top tips:

- Test your blood sugars regularly to catch any highs or lows
- Do a bit of exercise every day to help regulate glucose levels
- Eat well with lots of wholefoods to stave off illness
- Get more vitamin D into you by walking outside in the sunlight and eating foods such as oily fish, milk and milk products, eggs and liver

Make sure you're talking to people you trust about how you're feeling, and ask for help if you need it.
