I am a Registered Nurse and Cosmetic Nurse, with over 10 years experience in Appearance Medicine, and 18 years general nursing experience, four years of which were spent running Skin Institute Invercargill before opening my own clinic. I obtained my Bachelor of Nursing Degree through Southern Institute of Technology in 2001. I have oversight provided by Dr Henryk Poczwa, owner of Vein and Skin Clinic, and member of The New Zealand Society of Cosmetic Medicine. CosMedic Clinic offers Appearance Medicine services including injectables, skin treatments and laser. Injectable treatments include muscle relaxant procedures using anti-wrinkle injections (Botox and Xeomin) and dermal filler treatments made of a hyaluronic acid gel, such as Teoxane, Juvaderm and Belotero. We also offer chemical peels, microneedling with serum infusion using the DermaFrac system, and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) to treat pigmentation from sun damage, rosacea, red veins, collagen induction and hair removal. We sell a range of home skin care products including Aspect Dr, Skin Better Science, PCA, Cosmedix, Teoxane and Aspect and are stockists of Lilash and Librow. New patients are required to have a consultation prior to any injectable procedures. Anti-wrinkle injections are our most popular treatment. For anti-wrinkle treatments Botox and Xeomin you can have your consultation and treatment on the same day. To make this booking you will need to book the Botox/Xeomin new patient option. For any phone enquires or to drop in to collect skincare reception is covered Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9.30am to 1.30pm. We are very busy so please be patient if we do not answer your query straight away. It is vital to keep up to date in this constantly evolving industry on the latest guidelines for both treatment outcomes and patient safety. I regularly attend conferences, partake in webinars, and attend hands on training sessions. I am a member of CANN (NZ based Cosmetic Appearance Medice Network) and CMAC (Complications in Medical. I completed my Appearance Medicine Certificate through Skin Institute with Excellence, and keep updated on Cardiac Life Support certification and laser certification. I am passionate about appearance medicine with particular emphasis on achieving a natural fresh look for my patients by enhancing what they already have. People can sometimes have misconceptions in relation to procedures in appearance medicine and this can easily be overcome by consultation and education. I believe that individual facial assessment and listening to my patient's needs is a crucial part to achieving the best possible results, and am a strong believer in maintenance through good skin care and follow up.

I am very excited to be attending the Fresh Life conference this week in Byron Bay where I am looking forward to gaining new knowledge and skills to bring back to the clinic, and of course get some much needed sunshine ☀️🌞🕶️🌴

👄Before (top)and directly after (bottom) lip augmentation to correct asymmetry using small amounts of strategically placed dermal filler respecting the anatomy of the lip and maintaining a natural looking lip.

Lip asymmetry is common and can be challenging to correct. There is some bruising and swelling present which will reduce over the next 1-2 weeks.

Our Story

My name is Jaime Squires. I am a Registered Nurse and Appearance Medicine Nurse, with over seven years experience in Appearance Medicine, and fifteen years nursing experience, five of which were spent running Skin Institute Invercargill before opening my own clinic. I obtained my Bachelor of Nursing Degree through Southern Institute of Technology in 2001. I have oversight provided by Dr Henryk Poczwa, owner of Vein and Skin Clinic, and member of The New Zealand Society of Cosmetic Medicine. CosMedic Clinic offers both Appearance Medicine and Skin Care treatments. Injectable treatments include muscle relaxant procedures using Botox and dermal fillers and lip fillers using Juvaderm. Skin treatments include medi-facials including peels, masks, skin care products - Aspect Dr, Skin Medica, PCA, Cosmedix and Colour science make-up, and Dermagraq, a micro needling system with infusion of serums to boost collagen, reduce the appearance of fine lines, and enlarged pores, create a more even skin tone, and improve skin texture and hydration. I offer a cosmetic consultation prior to procedures, whereby a full medical history is obtained and facial assessment taken with treatment recommendations and options. I will soon be introducing IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) to treat pigmentation, red facial veins, hair removal and skin rejuvenation. More about this coming soon! I regularly attend the annual New Zealand Society of Cosmetic Medicine conference, and have attended numerous other training sessions throughout my career in appearance medicine, with majority of my training being through Allergan. I have continued to attend training conferences and seminars, in house one on one training sessions and online training since opening my own clinic, as feel it is imperative in this industry to keep updated in the latest treatment guidelines for both best results, and safety of my clients. I completed my Appearance Medicine Certificate through Skin Institute with Excellence, and hold a level 5 Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate. I am passionate about appearance medicine with particular emphasis on achieving a natural fresh look for my clients by enhancing what they already have.
