In this topsy turvy world , we so need to be kind. This starts with being kind to you.
Be kind to your family and close loved ones, your friends and perfect strangers.
Everyone has bad days, your kindness can go far in a not so fun time.
In a world of uncertainty, hatred and destruction being kind to the unkind can be all they need.
Dont react, sit back and think then act. We only get this one chance at life and no1 chooses to live with hate that has been created with misunderstanding and unkindness.
Stay true, stay kind, cos you might be that difference someone needs through dark times.

Welcome, our new followers.
Ive not had much time to post or anything new to add up, however watch this space as i plan to create my work space again after moving house in August as lifes been so busy with taking on an Assistant Managers position at my day job .
Will hopefully plan a workshop and market appearance when my stocks inprove.
Will add some items up for sale soon of pieces im ready to part with.
My work is also shown in a gallery in Riverton, Studio 124.
I do make pieces on commision and still have lavender products and oil for sale.

Southern kids may like a challenge to keep them entertained.

Wee change of plans!! We've had amazing response to this challenge, and have decided to extend the closing date for entries (has anyone else had a busy first week of school at home??!!)! So - entries will now be accepted until Monday 20th April at 5pm! Have a fantastic (& creative!) weekend!

Yeaterday I had Another amazing day with the kids at Takitimu school. It was the year 8s turn and they were a really good bunch to teach.
The finished results of the year 8 work I wont see till they complete in a few weeks. I helped with there designs and applying to the stone. Each student had a play with smaller pieces and made korus then they were given a huge slab to form a 2d or 3d scultpture of something that was in there community.
The finished pieces of the year 7 classes that i taught a month ago, I found dotted proudly amongst the school grounds and foyer.
Michelle Anderson approached me in the school holidays about the gift of oamaru stone from a local family to the school and the need for tution for years 7 and 8. To see the designs evolve into sculptures, which tested my mind and me in return tested theirs and how their approach to forming their designs into sculptures.
The photos are of the Year 7 class with their final work and a photo from the Advocate of the St Patrick's pupils that attended with that year too and their finished pieces.
