assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of muscle, joint and soft tissue trauma, and pain. We also run a fully equipped Pilates Studio with scheduled mat classes and instruction overseen
by qualified physiotherapists and Pilates instructors.

Born and raised in Southland, Hamish moved to Western Australia in 2008 to complete his undergraduate degree in Physiotherapy at Curtin University. He then worked in a busy private practice south of Perth WA, gaining valuable experience in a wide variety of orthopedic, musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy.

Clinically Hamish has a keen interest in running and endurance sport injury management, acute injury management - particularly the lower limb, orthopedic and sports pre-operative and post-operative rehabilitation. Hamish strives to provide the most up to date evidence-based management to all his clients.

Hamish is a keen outdoorsman spending most weekends in the mountains tramping, climbing and kayaking. He also spends his winters working in the ski industry carrying out avalanche safety and ski patrol work - dealing with a wide variety of acute injuries. Hamish maintains a high level of physical health which he aspires to help his clients also achieve; so it is not uncommon to find him in the gym or running around the various Southland trails training for events such as the Kepler Challenge.

Andrea is one of the Directors of Accelerate Physiotherapy and has been practicing as a physiotherapist for more than 30 years.

Andrea has loads of experience in many areas of physiotherapy and enjoys working with clients to meet their goals.

Her special interests are dizziness/vertigo problems as well as physiotherapy post head and spinal cord injury. Andrea enjoys taking some of our Pilates mat and equipment classes, as well as creating individualised gym programmes.

Originally from Glenorchy, Lucy graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Lucy relishes the challenge of treating all sorts of sporting injuries and enjoys being a Pilates instructor. She has a particular interest in pain management and musculoskeletal physiotherapy.

Outside of work, Lucy loves spending time with her two boys who keep her very busy! Lucy also enjoys being outdoors and exploring our beautiful Southern region.

Andrea is one of the directors of Accelerate Physiotherapy and she has 19 years experience as a physiotherapist.

Andrea has a special interest in concussion and neurological rehabilitation as well as treating issues with dizziness/vertigo. She is also highly experienced in workplace assessments and working with athletes on return to sport following injury. Andrea has completed Polestar Pilates training and enjoys taking some of our Pilates mat and equipment classes.

Outside of work, Andrea is kept busy with her two children Cooper and Paige.

Physio Tessa enjoyed a day trip to Te Anau last Saturday to cheer on her son Charlie who raced in the GWD kids 2km fun run.
Charlie had the best time and was thrilled to receive his medal after the race! Great running Charlie 👏🥳
