Temporary Clinic Closure Notice

Our clinic will be closed from Saturday 2 May to Monday 1 June as we welcome a new addition to our family.
I will be taking this time for paternity leave to support my wife and our newborn baby.

Reopening: Tuesday, 2 June
(Note: 1 June is the King's Birthday public holiday)

We would like to inform you that Kaiapoi Acupuncture will be temporarily closed from Wednesday 28th May to Thursday 12th June, as Koichi is attending a major annual Acupuncture conference in Japan. We will reopen on Friday 13th June.

The Raynaud's disease clients I have seen so far, and now no longer feel most of the symptoms.
Acupuncture is also effective for problems such as Raynaud's disease, MS(Multiple Sclerosis) or fibromyalgia for which there is no certain treatment. Please try acupuncture, if you have a problem that has no certain treatment.

One of our clients come to our clinic with a dislocated shoulder.　It was scheduled for surgery, but after 4 acupuncture treatments, surgeon told her she had recovered to the point where surgery is not necessary.

One of our clients has lost strength in his arm due to the aftereffects of an injury. He is unable to even lift a mug. However, after undergoing several sessions of our treatment, he has gradually regained the ability to exert force.

Acupuncture Treatment for Polymyalgia and fibromyalgia.
These conditions are partly caused by imbalanced hormones.
Recently, there has been an increase in patients visiting us for these conditions.

Acupuncture is able to help to improve hormones and patients have experienced symptom relief through acupuncture. They are starting with weekly sessions, some patients now visit once a month as their symptoms have improved.

Acupuncture treatment for Arthritis.
One of our client who comes Kaiapoi Acupuncture was suffering from arthritis and couldn't even bend due to the condition. However, after receiving acupuncture treatment just once, her mobility improved. After continuing with several more sessions, she was able to bend and even do gardening.

Acupuncture may improve Parkinson's disease.
It is a challenging condition to cure, but individuals with Parkinson's disease experience various difficulties such as awkward movements, poor sleep, digestion problems, and mental stress. Acupuncture has the potential to alleviate all these symptoms. We have seen one of our patients with Parkinson's disease experience improved movement and clearer eyesight after just one session.

Acupuncture might improve the UPDRS score, Webster score, and total effective rate in treatment of PD. It might be a safe and useful adjunctive treatment for patients with PD.
