Kiaora whānau

My mahi this year is continuing my work as a research assistant for Wai Oranga Breastfeeding Research project here in Te Tai Tokerau. We are hoping to collect kōrero of our whānau breastfeeding stories to inspire positive change and support services for our unique region and for Aotearoa as a whole in the near future.

If you, or anyone you know, are hapū and due before end of April 2024 and would be keen to awhi this kaupapa, please let me know. We are looking for another 8-10 whānau if possible, pānui below.

Interviews are only between 20 minutes and an hour, non invasive and flexible to work around you and your whānau šŸ’œ ngā mihi mahana, Nat.

Kiaora whānau

My name is Natalie (Nat) and I am first and foremost a Māmā of two boys, far north bred, living here in the beautiful Far North, Kaitaia NZ.

I am a qualified nutritionist, specialising in my passion area of infant Nutrition - from maternity to 5 years old and everything in between. I am passionate about whānau centred support and the creation of good overall wellbeing habits to minimise health issues later in life. I love what I do, and am excited to learn even more about our pepi and whānau here in Te Tai Tokerau and beyond.

I am available on a part time basis to provide support where I can, around my whānau and my mahi in research, maternity services and the other infant Nutrition related kaupapa that I am lucky to be involved in. I am pursuing more specialised training in lactation consultancy and allergy management currently and look forward to providing more services in these areas in the near future.

For any additional info or awhi (support) please contact me and I will do my best to assist. I am koha based, and have the possibility of virtual support aswell as in person support if you are living in the Far North region.
