What a week! Running on caffeine! Welcoming 5 babies over the weekend and having final home visits with 3. The best thing about being a Midwife in the Far North is it's never a final goodbye, it's a "see you in Pak n Save" so we see our youngest community members growing up!
A beautiful gift received today from a beautiful whanau! The card just made my day, first time I've been called so SIGMA! 🤣.

Thought I would just like a quick coffee in Northshore hospital today! Just kidding, a beautiful baby wanted to come a bit early for us up here. Appreciate The Northland Rescue Helicopter Team to get us where we need to be safely 💕

I am currently on a holiday in Sri Lanka and accomplished a huge climb to the top of this Rock.....I wanted to just give up, I actually did at one point then my husband started encouraging and pushing me along saying just 10 steps at a time. This made me think (while actually climbing up) of how many times as a Midwife I see our mama hit the wall during labour and ourselves and Whanau rally around to get you through one of the hardest thing both mentally and physically you will ever do....but the reward is just the best! So Thank You to all you strong amazing woman out there I have had the pleasure to help you all helped me to do this!
