Passed away peacefully surrounded by whanau, storytelling and love after a short illness.

Loved wife of the late Karena (Ganny) Karena of Te Kao.
Beloved Mother of Faith & David, Hugh, Jason and Elise.
Loved Nana of Jordan, Charlie, Kaylene, Peter, Waiaria, Joseph and Mihirangi.
Much Loved Great Grandmother of Israel, Valentine, Kiiana-lee, Kahli-Jo, and Kereti.

Tangihanga for Anna will be held on Friday 9th of January 2026, 10am, at Waiora Marae, Ngataki followed by nehu at Houhora Cemetery. All communication to Geards Funerals.

Loving partner of Adrianne, father figure to Greg and Kara, forever a fisherman.

Funeral service on Saturday 3rd January 2026, 11am at Houhora Big Game and Fishing Club followed by burial at Houhora Cemetery.

A service for Dick will be held on Tuesday 30th December 10am at Te Paatu Marae followed by private cremation.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Christmas Memorial Service on Wednesday evening. We know this time of year can be especially heavy for many, so it truly meant a lot to share that space, that love, and those memories with you all.

A huge thank you to our celebrants — Shayelah Clark-Hobson, Archdeacon Fran & Reverend Rapiata Hokianga, affectionately known to us as Aunty Connie & Uncle Tony Hassan, and Mr Graeme Baucke. Your beautiful kōrero and the gentle guidance you offered throughout the evening were deeply appreciated.

To our musicians, Jon Pirini & Robin Wells — your music is so beautiful and created such a calming and uplifting atmosphere. We are so grateful for the heart you brought to the service. Thank you for sharing your talents with us all.

The amazing Jacqui Steed and her team for always providing all the yummy goodies and lovely refreshments and service, every year without fail.

A special acknowledgment as well to the Far North REAP Road Safety team — ngā mihi mō tō koutou mahi tahi me mātou i tēnei kaupapa, e tino whakanuia ana.

Phoebe passed away peacefully at Switzer Home, surrounded by her loving whānau.

Loved by her daughter Lisa and Ross, Blake, James, Brody and the wider whānau.

Phoebe will lie in state in Ahipara from Thursday afternoon until her tangi on Saturday. A service to celebrate her life will be held at the whānau home at 10am on Saturday, 6 December, followed by burial at Te Angaanga at 11am.

The Tepania whānau extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Switzer for their care and support — it has been deeply appreciated.

Aged 52 years.

He will be laying in state at Geards Funeral Home on Tuesday 2nd & Wednesday 3rd December where you will be able to come pay your respects. In accordance with Ade's wishes there will be no funeral service held. A private cremation will take place.

Allocated visiting times are as follows:
Tuesday 1pm - 3pm & Wednesday 8am - 4pm

Ade was a much loved and genuine person who loved his friends, his cats and community work.

In lieu of flowers, Please remember and honour him in the way he would appreciate most - donations to be made specifically to the Golden Years Cat Rescue, or please help out by feeding the cat colony behind PAK' n save or at the library.

Rest in Love Ade.🐾
