Brené Brown is an inspirational speaker who I tap into on a regular basis. Recently I had my voice cancelled out completely - I was charged with being racist and bigoted, both of which left me reeling! I can be neither in my work, both in my clinic and in my role at school. Things have been a major challenge recently - between wild weather disasters in our local area, teachers battling the government for support for our children to have equity and support in the classrooms and then studying 😆 it's difficult to see what part of my ADD brain is winning - overdrive to be channelled but in which direction?

I’m currently listening to “Greenlights” on Audible, which I am loving! And ow have purchased the book!
Matthew McConaughey - hearing him tell the stories of his life creates an extra layer of emotion and meaning to his story.

“Greenlights” is full of so many amazing quotes that I am going to buy a copy of the book as well so I can highlight and mark it up, in case I wanted to use some of his wise words in a future speech - in a coaching session or just to remind me to look for the GREENLIGHTS !!

Flowing Energy.... Live the Good Life

I came to NZ 15 years ago and a very different person, not a person I wanted to be either! I knew I was going to reinvent myself! Things couldn’t stay the way they were, something had to give, and boy did it! My body! My mind! and my spirit! I have always worn the most beautiful rose-tinted glasses, but they were smudged!

On my journey to BodyTalk I met some amazing people who shifted things with me on many levels – a trainer who made me see I can look in the mirror and have a pride in my achievements, a naturopath who saw through me, through the complete body shut down that was happening and got me back on point with trusting my instincts and trusting what my body was telling me, a man who became my husband and gain me faith in love and life. We all need to build these networks – those who’s energy supplements and compliments yours.

I’m a teacher, and thinking back always have been one level or another. Alongside that has always been the desire to help others feel better, get better, be better - be true to themselves. It wasn’t until I had my first BodyTalk session that I knew what was missing for me! All the other bits and pieces I had been studying, for supposedly random reasons, I was bored, it was cheap, it sounded interesting, suddenly started making sense. Along with the ‘sense’ came new sensations and a new outlook on life. The depression and anxiety seemed to just slip away! My body started moving again, my brain lost the fog!

Ours bodies have a natural built in ability to heal and fix themselves. When all the areas of human psyche (mental, spiritual, emotional and physical) are working, synchronised and balanced, then the healing happens naturally. However, things change and when our balance is tipped then our physical, mental, spiritual and emotional well-being deteriorates. We lose the energy flow and the balance. BodyTalk is a holistic healing modality that allows your body’s energy systems to re-synchronise and re-balance so they can operate as nature intended. Each system, cell, and atom are always in constant communication with each other - when they’re talking, we’re flowing!
