NEW BALCLUTHA CLASS!!
‘Stay Strong & Steady’ Strength & Balance Classes starting:
Monday 25th August 1pm at St Johns, Balclutha.

Are you looking for:
- An exercise program specifically designed for older adults with a focus on improving strength and balance?
- A community of like minded people who care about aging well?
- A class that can be individually tailored to your exercise needs?
- Are you concerned about your bone health or have osteoporosis?
- Are you worried about your balance or have had a fall?

Stay Strong & Steady Balclutha is a community Strength & Balance class targeted at older adults aged 65 years or older (or 55 years or older for Māori & Pasifika) but is open to anyone who has concerns about their bone health, strength & balance or is at risk of a fall.

This Level 2 class is led by a Physiotherapist who is an ACC approved Strength & Balance program provider.

We're over the shortest day and heading towards spring for our new 10 week series' starting:
Mon 18th August 6pm Kaka Point Pilates
Tues 19th August 6.15pm Owaka Pilates
Thurs 21st August 8.45am Owaka Pilates (child friendly)
Thurs 21st August 6pm HTPilatesPlus Balclutha Pilates
Tues 26th August 10am Balclutha Mums & Tots

This is a matwork series with a great whole body workout to strengthen and tone your limbs, and with a core focus to target your back, abdominals and pelvic floor.

Level options are available from beginner to more advanced in all classes so you can tailor the exercises to suit your body as you strengthen and tone.
Exercises are individually modified for clients with specific rehabilitation needs or if you are pregnant.
Trimester 2 is the ideal time to strengthen your body for the final months of your pregnancy, for your birth and to aid postpartum recovery so jump in and join our other antenatal ladies now!

These classes are an ACC Level 3 'Approved Strength and Balance Programme', so if you're concerned about your bone health, strength or balance or just want quality assurance, then these classes are for you!

Our Clutha area classes have been working hard and we're due to start our new series soon!
We'll be working with the resistance bands next to keep those muscle gains going and strengthen and tone over the winter months ahead.

The Theraband Series is a great whole body workout, but as always with a focus on your core.
People love working with the bands not only for their added resistance but also for the extra feedback they provide for movements and to aid their flexibility.

Level options are available from beginner to more advanced in all classes or different resistance bands so feel free to encourage someone you know who would benefit from Pilates to come along.

Our Story

My name's Hollie Turner, I'm a Physiotherapist of 20+ years experience working in multiple rehabilitation settings both nationally and internationally and have been instructing Pilates classes for the past 8 years. I work with men and women of all ages and life stages, just like you, to help you achieve your wellness goals.

HTPilatesPlus is a physiotherapy led Pilates group with the goal of bringing Pilates classes to you wherever you are and whatever the time! Our matwork classes cater to all levels of Pilates from beginner to advanced and are available in person in Rotorua or Geraldine areas or online nationwide. My online coaching and consulting is also available nationwide and has a particular focus on women’s health needs and general rehabilitation involving strengthening of the deep core and back.

I understand that time is precious and life, work and family are a balancing act that at times need to be juggled with flexibility but also realise the importance of taking that time out of your day to reconnect with your body, strengthen up, breathe and have the endurance that you need for busy lives.

So if you struggle to get to a class, live remotely or just need flexible hours for classes or appointments. HTPilatesPlus online is for you!
