We are doing flu and covid vaccines at the Health Centre, but if you are in the area on Wednesday the lovely team from Poutini Waiora are doing a clinic outside the Little Wanganui Hotel on Wednesday this week from 9am to 11am. All welcome!

The Health Centre is closed on Christmas day and Boxing day.

If you have any medical urgency on those days, please call the clinic number and follow the message to get to the after-hours service.

Happy New Year everyone!

The Karamea Health Centre will close today Friday 29th at 4pm and will be closed thru to Wednesday the 3rd 9am.

During this New Year's holiday period the nurse is on call for emergencies by dialing 111, and for urgent care appointments only.

To make an urgent care appointment on these days, just call the clinic number 7826710, press option #1 to talk to someone, the nurse there will arrange an appt for you.

(Our sincerest apologies to those who had trouble last weekend, be assured the system is working correctly now).

If you just need general health advice, please make use of the health line, 0800 611 116 anytime.

As usual there will be a box with covid tests avaialble outside the clinic, these are free to take, each box has five tests.
